  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sun, 26 Jan 2025 10:12:00 +0000
  • Source: S20E55
  • Region:
  • Note: Narrow CME with the source the same location as the filament eruption producing 2025-01-26T01:25Z CME. This time it is a minor eruption seen around 2025-01-26T10:10Z near ~S20E55 in AIA 304, with brightening and post-eruptive arcades.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sun, 26 Jan 2025 01:25:00 +0000
  • Source: S20E51
  • Region:
  • Note: CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 (for all frames) and STEREO COR2A (starting at 2025-01-26T02:23Z when a data gap ends). Source is a filament eruption in the southeast quadrant of the Earth-facing disk, with liftoff starting around 2025-01-26T00:08Z as seen in SDO AIA 304. The curved filament occupied an oval-shaped area on the disk spanning S10-S30 and E38-E65 just prior to eruption. Filamentary material and post eruptive brightening can be seen in SDO AIA 304 at 2025-01-25T00:45Z. Post-eruptive arcades become visible in SDO AIA 171/193/131 around 2025-01-26T02:27Z.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sat, 25 Jan 2025 20:48:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: Faint, wide CME seen to the N in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and NE in STEREO COR2A. No source observed on the disk for this event, but it triangulates between coronagraphs to around N34W02. This CME begins to incredibly slowly evolve to the N as early as 2025-01-25T06:00Z, with brighter material slowly emerging around 2025-01-25T20:48Z that accelerates in later frames of SOHO LASCO C3 to its final speed.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sat, 25 Jan 2025 17:36:00 +0000
  • Source: S12W80
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Only two frames of this CME were captured by STEREO A COR2, due to a data gap starting at 2025-01-25T18:23Z.

2025-01-25T08:00:00-CME-001

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sat, 25 Jan 2025 08:00:00 +0000
  • Source: S10W66
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: This CME is faintly seen to the NW overlapping a streamer in SOHO LASCO C2 and C3 imagery. It is difficult to see in STEREO A COR2 white light imagery, but slightly more easy to see in difference imagery. There isn't a clear source, although there are moving/opening field lines visible in GOES SUVI 284 along the NW limb starting around 25/07:37Z and some filament ejecta from AR13961 deflected northward as seen in GOES SUVI 304 around 25/07:25Z.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sat, 25 Jan 2025 03:36:00 +0000
  • Source: S10W64
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: Loop CME to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. This CME appears much more diffuse in STEREO A COR2 imagery. Source is likely a small eruption near Active Region 13961 and moving/opening field lines with southern deflection seen on the SW limb that appear to trace back to Active Region 13961.
