2025-01-27T16:00:00-CME-001

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Mon, 27 Jan 2025 16:00:00 +0000
  • Source: S19W57
  • Region: 13972
  • Note: CME first seen in SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2025-01-27T16:00Z, as well as by SOHO LASCO C3 in later frames. This event is not visible in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap beginning at 2025-01-27T15:38Z. The source of this CME is field line movement and dimming seen near AR 3972 (S19W57) in SDO AIA 171 and 193 beginning at 2025-01-27T14:54Z. The dimming expands to the South of the Active Region suggesting a Southern deflection.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Mon, 27 Jan 2025 11:00:00 +0000
  • Source: S10W96
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: CME first seen in the SW by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2025-01-27T11:00Z, as well as by SOHO LASCO C3 and STEREO A COR2 in later frames. The source of this event is a filament ejection beginning at 2025-01-27T10:32Z seen just around the SW limb in SDO AIA 171, 193 and 304.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Mon, 27 Jan 2025 03:36:00 +0000
  • Source: S10W90
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: Faint CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO COR2A. The source is observed on/just beyond the SW limb as filament ejecta visible in SDO AIA 131/171/193/304 starting at 2025-01-27T00:15Z, and is likely AR 3961 (S10W90 at time of eruption).

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Mon, 27 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000
  • Source: S10W90
  • Region: 13961
  • Note: CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3, and in STEREO COR2A starting at 2025-01-27T02:23Z returning from a data gap. The source for this CME is likely narrow filament ejecta from AR 3961 around 2025-01-27T23:28 in SDO AIA 304, located on the west limb around S10W90 at this time. Weak field line movement on/near the NW limb near cluster of ARs 3971/3965/3962, best observed in GOES SUVI 171 around 2025-01-27T23:25Z, creates a diffuse overlapping coronagraph signature to the NW of this more clear signature traveling SW.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Sun, 26 Jan 2025 19:12:00 +0000
  • Source: S23E48
  • Region:
  • Note: Faint CME seen in SOHO LASCO only (b/c of data gap in STEREO A coronagraph imagery). Source is another (but more minor) eruption in the SE quadrant starting around 18:41Z and centered around ~(S23E48), as seen in GOES SUVI 284 and SDO AIA 304/193.

  • Start: Sun, 26 Jan 2025 10:12:00 +0000
  • Source: S20E55
  • Region:
  • Note: Narrow CME with the source the same location as the filament eruption producing 2025-01-26T01:25Z CME. This time it is a minor eruption seen around 2025-01-26T10:10Z near ~S20E55 in AIA 304, with brightening and post-eruptive arcades.
