2025-03-27T22:25:00-CME-001

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 22:25:00 +0000
  • Source: S20E30
  • Region:
  • Note: CME visible to the SE in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. The source is a filament eruption centered around S20E30. Filament liftoff starts around 2025-03-27T20:19Z in SDO AIA 304. Dimming is best seen in SDO AIA 193, and opening field lines are best seen in SDO AIA 171/193. The eruption is also visible from the point of view of STEREO A EUV 195/304 imagery. The main bulk of the CME is preceded by a fainter, narrower loop in SOHO LASCO C2 at 2025-03-27T21:36Z that may be associated with an eruption from the same region, around S20E30.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 21:12:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: Faint CME visible to the NW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 after a data gap from 2025-03-27T16:49Z-21:12Z. Not clearly visible in STEREO A COR2. The source is not clear, and the CME is likely farsided.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 14:42:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: The second, smaller, jet/minor CME that is seen to the southwest at the same time as 2025-03-27T14:23Z jet CME. The CMEs are seen in SOHO LASCO and STEREO A COR2, with their start partially obscured by data gaps. No clear source was found for this CME, so it is likely farsided (as confirmed by fit in swpc_cat).

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 14:23:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: Two faint, fuzzy blobs next to each other seen to the southwest, with no clear front. The CME is seen in SOHO LASCO and STEREO A COR2. No clear source found, so it is likely backsided (confirmed by fit in swpc_cat).

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 05:25:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: A vey faint jet immediately followed by a wider faint CME front to the northwest. One possible source could be the C2.4 flare from AR 4035 (N15W55) peaking at 2025-03-27T05:04Z. The front both in STEREO and in SOHO can be traced but is very, very faint.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 27 Mar 2025 04:23:00 +0000
  • Source: N15E40
  • Region: 14043
  • Note: Faint CME to the northeast with a somewhat fuzzy loop-like front that is slightly brighter in the first couple images in STEREO A COR2. The source is not clear but the fit with two coronagraphs suggests AR 4043, indicating that the source could have been a C3.9 flare centered somewhat NW of AR 4043 (N15E40) and peaking at 2025-03-27T03:12Z. There are no significant coronal signatures except for the flare itself seen in SDO AIA 131.
